Credentials & experience
Durgashini's approach
The primary years decide how a child feels about English for the rest of school — so Durgashini treats them with real seriousness. A trained curriculum specialist and former classroom teacher, she doesn't teach from a stack of worksheets: she designs the lessons, materials and assessments around the child in front of her, meeting your child exactly where they are.
Mentoring one-to-one since 2018, she has a particular gift for young learners who have gone quiet on the page — drawing out ideas, building reading and writing habits that stick, and turning “I don’t know what to write” into a voice your child recognises as their own.
Built for the primary years
Primary English is her home ground — from early literacy through upper-primary composition and comprehension, taught with a classroom teacher's structure and a mentor's patience.
Curriculum, made personal
Lessons, materials and assessments designed around each learner — never lifted off a shelf.
Classroom-trained, one-to-one focused
A former school English and literacy teacher who has mentored students one-to-one since 2018.
At home in two languages
Teaches in English and speaks Tamil — an easy bridge for bilingual homes.
Every student has a voice. My job is to help them discover it.
